Anna LEAMAN

English Language Study Mentor

Anna is committed to empowering educators to create inclusive and language-accessible curricula. Drawing from her broad UK and international education background, she specialises in English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Anna offers training, consultancy, and collaborates with schools to develop custom curriculum materials for teaching academic English skills. With QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a BA Hons in Literature from the University of Manchester, Anna is passionate about teaching and providing personalised English-learning programmes to our clients.

Charlotte NEWMAN-FORD

HR, Communications and Career Mentor

Charlotte is a CIPD qualified Senior HR professional with 15 years of experience spanning across different sectors and countries. From private to public sectors, education, government, and charities, she’s gathered extensive knowledge and a passion for helping people reach their potential. With a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and extensive HR experience, Charlotte is committed to helping our students discover their interests and strengths and navigate the directions of further studies and future careers.

Dr. Boon Leing TAN

Academic and Research Mentor (Business)

Dr. Tan is an experienced lecturer and consultant specialising in Operations and Information Management, Business Management, and related areas. He teaches and supervises students at various levels and has affiliations with several universities and consultancy firms. With a background in Operations Management and a PhD in Business and Management, he has extensive teaching experience in general Business Management subjects, IT security, and more. Dr. Tan has held leadership positions, including Head of Business School at MDIS and founding HoD at Xian Jiaotong Liverpool University. He is actively involved in research, regularly publishing in academic journals and serving on editorial boards and conference committees. His research interests include Industry 4.0, e-business management, supply-chain management, and quality management. With rich teaching and research experience, Dr. Tan has been an excellent mentor to many students.

Dr. Jianyi WANG

Academic and Research Mentor (STEM)

With over 20 years of engineering experience spanning various industries, Dr. Wang possesses extensive knowledge in electrical, control, drive, electronics, Mechatronics, DSP, firmware, and automation. He excels in people and project management within R&D settings, with a focus on product development for mass production. Dr. Wang’s expertise lies in servo / motion control, signal processing, filtering, and motor drive, coupled with hands-on proficiency in programming and debugging real-time embedded systems. Strong communication and coordination skills complement his passion for both engineering work and teaching. Additionally, Dr. Wang has achieved notable recognition with 4 US patents, over 10 journal / conference papers, and more than 10 technology awards from various companies. Dr. Wang is passionate about transferring his academic and industrial knowledge and skills to young people through being a student mentor.

Evelyn HUANG

Arts and Portfolio Mentor

Evelyn is an experienced interior designer and an HDB-licensed renovation contractor who has her own workshop. She possesses a Master’s Degree from China Academy of Art and a Diploma from Palin School of Arts & Design. Evelyn has participated in numerous exhibitions such as National Exhibition of Fine Artworks of College at Hebei People’s Art Museum in China, and Club NAFA Art Exhibition at 55 Art Space in Singapore. She also won the Outstanding Work award at the 2020 National College Student Art Exhibition and 2019 Social Aesthetic International Art Festival in China. Evelyn feels meaningful and fulfilled in cultivating student’s art talent and coaching their portfolio development.

Jun Wei TOH

Maths and Science Study Tutor

With over a decade of tutoring experience, Jun Wei aims to deliver academic results and offer comprehensive learning opportunities for students in grades 7 through 10 (or Sec 1-4). He is passionate and proficient in mentoring subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Additional Mathematics, and Elementary Mathematics. Demonstrating self-drive, meticulousness, and efficiency, Jun Wei excels in collaborating with both students and parents to facilitate achievement. His goal is to utilise teaching and analytical abilities to introduce fresh perspectives and guide students toward academic success beyond mere attainment of high grades.

Alvin Yong

Social Entrepreneurship Coach and Mentor

Alvin Yong is the founder of Stone Edge Experiential, an organization dedicated to fostering social entrepreneurship under the mission to “catalyze social entrepreneurship in doing Good Well.” Guided by a vision of “a loving world of equality and Oneness,” Alvin champions values such as sustainability, profitability, and replicability in every initiative.

His passions include:

• Social Business: Advocating for marketplace practices and meaningful careers that prioritize the well-being of communities, where money serves as a means rather than an end.
• Youth Social Entrepreneurship Education: Equipping young individuals with the skills and mindset to build fulfilling careers that contribute positively to society.
• Eco-consciousness: Promoting sustainable habits and corporate actions to restore and nurture the planet’s health.

Through his leadership, Alvin has driven impactful initiatives across Asia and Africa, focusing on children’s education, community-based enterprise development, and human potential training. His work continues to transform lives, build stronger communities, and create a more equitable and sustainable future.
