前言：7月是IB成绩放榜季，也是IB课程体系孩子们收获并确定大学录取信的季节。小迈相信，从结果来说，定是几家欢喜几家愁，不是每个孩子都能获取自己最如意的Offer， 但回望过去走过的高中旅程，小迈坚信，每个孩子都应该有很多收获和成长，一定获得了一个属于自己的丰收季！

2年前，小迈有幸协助聂同学申请新加坡加慧世界书院（XCL World Academy-XWA）G11 IB DP 的入学申请，2年后获知她被录取英国伦敦大学学院UCL 建筑设计本硕连读课程 (MSci Architecture, UCL Main Site)，小迈由衷地为她感到高兴和骄傲，同时也希望这篇小小的分享是她自己的一段人生旅程的回顾反省，同时对其他孩子们有所启迪。

Q1. 请简单介绍一下你自己。

Hi 大家好，我是来自XCL World Academy 的24Fall毕业生聂Luwen！2024年是我从上海体制内初中转赛道，留学新加坡的第五年，也是我从新加坡私立学校学习本地O-level体系毕业后，转向XCL 开始IBDP的第二年。

Q2. 2年前，在决定转学申请XWA 11年级IB DP时，你给自己设了怎么样的期望与目标？

其实在2年前，O-level出分后选择转向IBDP体系时，就做好了打算学习设计相关的专业，这也是当时选择了具有“”设计小作坊“，有着良好艺术氛围的XCL的原因之一。当然，在开始这两年IBDP前，我并没有什么绝对的目标，更完全没有想象过自己可以触碰到UCL Bartlett这样一个具有建筑殿堂之称的梦校，11年级新进校时的我，只是想着在每次大小活动，学习任务中尽量做到突破自己的能力天花板就好。

Q3. 在这IB DP 2年的求学过程中，你觉得自己最大的收获和成长是什么？为什么？

这两年的IBDP学习，怎么说呢？应该是痛并快乐着的。最大的成长和收获，我想，可能并不是11年级不断突破自我后学会的各项软件技能，或是团队协作技巧，更多的可能是经历完12年级的diy申请，大考，以及等待offer和出分后，逐渐学会的“佛系摆烂式”心态？可能自己现在还是没有能够真正做到相信“一切都是最好的安排”，而在任何情况发生时保持安然自若的淡定情绪，但可以感觉到自己的心态在经历IBDP Year2的各种起伏后，已经磨炼出了不少“弹性抗压”的能力。

Q4. 在这IB DP 2年的求学过程中, 你觉得自己遇到的最大的挑战是什么？是如何克服的？

这两年DP中遇到最大的挑战可能是留学在外以及IB体系选课导致的“孤军奋战”吧。会发现自己需要完成的课业IAs,EE包括TOK等等，都不再像从前体制内或者O-level刷题时那样，可以和伙伴互相交流解惑，大部分的课业包括12年级申请建筑专业时准备的文书，作品集等等都只有靠着自己自问自答的，一步步摸索，一步步完成。当然，真正克服这些挑战也肯定不只是靠自己，学校的设计老师，大学申请辅导员，申请类似专业的伙伴，校外能够想到有相关经验的长辈，朋友，包括互联网平台上的学长学姐们，都有帮到我许多，只是这些外援不在像从前那样自动存在，而是需要自己找到自己的问题和需求后，主动自发的去联系，询问，换了一种沟通和解决的形式。

Q5. 获得自己理想的UCL Offer ，你觉得最核心的关键或或自己的核心竞争力是什么？

能够拿到offer首先最主要的应该是自己的敢想敢做的跳脱思想，不论是在选择建筑设计这一“夕阳”专业，选择UCL这样一所网络轰击的“G5水校”，还是在制作建筑作品集或是大学申请时放弃的机构“全程包办性指导”，其实现在想来都觉得十分剑走偏锋，是不是真的对，我自己现在也没办法下绝对的结论。我想，能够拿到UCL的offer，我做选择时的大胆，完成自己决定时的驱动力，和做完决定后就一定想要达到自己期望的结果的“固执” 或许就是我目前最核心的竞争力之一吧。

Q6. 从2年前的重新选择高中，到现在你获取自己最理想的大学offer， 这过程中，你觉得对自己帮助最大的人有哪些？你想借此机会跟他们说点什么？

可能看起来会有些自负，但首先，从2年前重新选择高中到现在获取自己最理想的大学offer，我想先感谢自己在这过程中，完成的每一件小事 – “恭喜你，突破了2022年时的自己”。

其次，当然的，整个过程中我遇到了许许多多帮助我的老师，长辈，学长学姐，和志同道合的伙伴们。感谢让我了解到XCL办学理念，为我成功加入XCL加慧世界书院答惑解疑的 “领路人”，Mighty Edupath 迈梯教育的夏老师；感谢不厌其烦帮助我完成设计产品的，不断给予我肯定，戏称我“Ms Perfect”的Mr Patrick (DT 老师）；更感谢，为我大学申请答惑解疑的Ms Tam和Ms Robinson。

最后，必须的，最最最感谢的，肯定是不断支持我的选择，相信我一定可以的母上大人，和家庭亲友们！我知道，如果没有你们任何一个人的帮助和支持，我都可能与UCL，我梦校的offer失之交臂。

Q7. 走过这2年富有挑战的IB DP之旅，你想对其他学弟学妹或对未来的自己有何寄语？

寄语的话，说多了也就那几句颠来倒去，冠冕堂皇的祝福语，言简意赅一点“尽力而为，相信自己”是我最想对学弟学妹们说的，也是最希望自己未来可以例行的八个字。
